Renata Daou is a junior at Penn State double majoring in broadcast journalism and international politics. She’s originally from Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil. She’s involved with Onward State and she’s currently part of Cohort 6 of the United Nations’ UNITE 2030 Youth Delegate Program, where she’s learning to take action to tackle poverty, inequality, injustice, and climate change by the year 2030.

Her dream is to work with either international political reporting or work for an international organization that focuses on immigration and refugee issues in its communications department. She wanted to be part of COMM 402 – international reporting to sharpen her international reporting skills and to use the opportunity to report on immigration issues in Scotland.
