Neil MacLure has been bagpiping in Scotland for over 40 years, performing at weddings, funerals and around the streets of Edinburgh.
Thought to be invented in Egypt and brought to the British Isles by the Romans, the pipes have been adopted by the Scots as their national instrument, and now, can be heard throughout the country.
MacLure grew up in the Highlands region of Scotland but is based in Edinburgh where he not only performs but also teaches – offering online sessions to tutor a new generation of bagpipers and continue the tradition across the globe
